Designed as a quasi sci-fi choreography, The Adder’s Bite is a haunting rendering of the micro world of parasites. If all creatures require others in order to live, then in this case the leeching is literal. But the pattern changes when a new player weasels itself into the mire. With striking cinematography, Firas Momani finds darkness and intrigue. MS

director bio

Firas Momani was born in the United Arab Emirates and lived in Jordan before moving to Toronto, where he graduated from the classical animation programme at Sheridan College. His previous short films Bill the Barber (04) and A Half Man (05) screened at major international festivals. The Adder’s Bite (10) is his latest short film.
