RSS Explained
'Really Simple Syndication' or most often referred to as RSS, allows you to see when websites have added new content. As soon as new information is posted you will have it without even visiting the site.
What you need
To get started you will need any news reader software that will automatically check for the latest information on those sites you intend subscribing to.
Once installed, you then need to decide what content you want to receive. For example, if you’re looking for the latest TIFF08 scheduling information, simply visit the schedule page and click the orange RSS icon:
From there all you need is to subscribe to the feed by copying the URL from the address bar and pasting it into your RSS application. Some readers also allow you to subscribe automatically just by clicking the button.
